The boys and I met up with a bunch of friends at the Dallas children's theater this morning. Great performance.

Camping Fun

We went to Possum Kingdom State Park camping last weekend. Had the best time ever! The spiders were a little frightening though.

We are learning about dinosaurs and I froze little plastic dinos and the boys excavated them this morning.

Easter Egg Hunt 2012

Our homeschool group has an annual Easter egg hunt. It was held yesterday and the kids had so much fun with their friends.
For the holiday weekend, I took the boys to my parent's house. My dad heated up the pool and they had a nice swim. In the morning, they woke to find that the Easter bunny came to Abuelo's house too!

Dallas Stars

Mark took the boys to a Dallas Stars hockey game on Friday during my softball game.  They had a lot of fun! Cameron is wearing his shamrock hat that we made during school that day.  They said he got a lot of attention!

St.Patrick's 2012

I planned today's lesson around a St. Patrick's day theme. My sweet niece, Baleigh came for a visit and enjoyed the first activity today...a hunt for the leprechaun's chocolate gold coins! We had many activities, among them were 'green' bingo, leprechaun math and putting together an Ireland book. At the end, I put together a rainbow of colored rice with gold coins to play with.

Planet Earth

I am currently working through a lengthy school unit on space. We are doing many projects that are ongoing that I will be posting about soon.

Today, we studied planet Earth and discussed the planet's many characteristics. We built playdough models of the Earth's layers - core, mantle and crust.

A Pocket for Corduroy

I did a cute little lesson after reading this book with Cameron. We made Corduroy and he sewed on his pocket and put his name inside. He loved it and said he wants to sew when a lot more when he's older.

Geography Club - Mexico

We had a great time at geography club yesterday. Each month when we meet up, we study a different country. Each family presents an aspect about the country - government, people & culture, art & music,geography, foods, craft, game, and interesting facts. Mexico was so fun! We made maracas and had a pinata. Fun fiesta!
